When you get to school you have to rather stay on the concrete areas under the COLA or if its raining go inside your classroom. Most people get dropped off to school at about 8:45 where others come on the bus at 8:30, 8:40 or 8:55. When the bell rings at 8:55 stage 3 ( year 6 and year 5) make their way up to the stairs under the COLA and wait for their teachers to mark the roll. We then have students who set up a various range of sport equipment for our PE session. There is 9 groups that we are in and 9 different activities that we rotate around.
After finishing PE we continued down to our classrooms and have a look at our schedule for the day that Mrs Cliff ,our teacher, will put up onto the smartboard. Then we would start our work. Normally we would start with literacy and divide ourselves into our groups and do rather blogging, spelling worksheets, reading or grammar for 1 hour.
At 11:00 it’s recess and we grab some food and go outside to play. In the playground we usually have one group of friends that we hang out with and eat with. One of our activities to pass the time is handball. In this game you have a small bouncy ball that is as big as a tennis ball and you divide yourself into four squares. In squares there is one person and the squares are made into kings, queens, ace and dunst. Ace is the highest and starts with the ball. He or she will bounce the ball into somebody elses square making sure that it bounces in their square first and if not it is called a full. You keep bouncing the ball to each other until someone misses it and it goes out of their square and then that person is out and the next person comes on to play.

Afterwoods we are in our classrooms and ready to start some maths. In this time we do a few worksheets on maths and since my class is an OC class I get to do extension work thats for year 7 instead of just the year 6 work. We then start a peice of writing on an exposition, recount, report and many other writing types.
At 12:45 we go out for lunch. We eat lunch for 15 minutes and then there is a loud bell and this means that you can go out to play.Netball and handball are always popular at lunch and nearly everyone is playing them. In the middle of lunch there is another bell that means that you can go to the library to read or study. Soon after it is the end of lunch and everybody goes back to their classrooms.
Firstly we have DEAR (drop everything and read) then we have talking and listening and art. Then finally at 3:00 everyone is rather drove home on the bus or picked up by their family.
I think school is really fun and although you have to do heaps of school work I think its better than just sitting around and doing nothing and it is a definite plus that you get to learn all these things for free.
